And what about both Gulfstreams, like to give it a try this weekend.

Notam for friday 28th says Nörvenich is open at 06:30 local time. That would suggest an early departure for the IDF on friday morning.

Not a strange thought. When they leave on Friday, given the time difference and an earlier sunset than in Western Europe, they might be late for Shabbat, which starts Friday evening after sunset.

When they leave around 6.30 they should be on time for Shabbat. ;-)

679 is on the stairs of the main entrance.
And with that discovery you have just been nominated for the Spotter of Month award.

Is it correct that the police will block all roads and photospots from now? At least already on the west side....

On the east side no problems at all. Just park in the village nearby and walk or cycle. Police is very friendly and stairs are no problem.

There is no fighter flying on Sunday, only the crew change Hercules.

The Detachment will leave on Friday, 28th around or after 7.00 local. Monday 31st is spare day when leaving on Friday is not possible due to weather etc.

Next week flying will happen a little bit earlier, from 9 or 9.30h.

Regarding flight ops on Sunday the 23rd, apparently at the press day on Thursday it was announced that a second Gulfstream and a couple of B707s woyld be arriving to take part in the MAGDAY exercise. Anyone with knowledge to confirm or deny this?
