Glitches with the new website
From here at least, I'm unable to enter the community section from the home page.
It is possible to to so by clicking on the link to a incoming private massage, then normal access and posting capability is possible.

Yes, the migration of the new website is certainly still "work in progress".
The messageboard-issue is very much being looked at by the migration team, it seems.
In a week's time most faults and bugs will have been rectified, I suppose.

And a big "Thank you" to all the volunteers working on it ! Fortunately they are no government workers / contractors, so I guess all will be working again soon.

Government workers?. Those two words should NEVER be used in the same sentence!Alpha Kilo One wrote:And a big "Thank you" to all the volunteers working on it ! Fortunately they are no government workers / contractors, so I guess all will be working again soon.
mention of the word 'work' within earshot of a government employee is likely to induce a heart attack.

Re: Glitches with the new website
Not a glitch, but to save starting a new topic for the question.
I understand this probably isn't a big priority, but is there a plan to keep the 'latest updates' list for things like the Orbats and Airfield Guides? I found it very useful to see when something had changed.
If not, is there a possibility to add a 'last updated' line at the top of each of those pages instead in a similar way to the databases pages which list when it was last updated?
But overall, I am a very big fan of the new style/layout!
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Glitches with the new website
Is it possible to make the messageboard full screen? Now there is a lot of empty space on the sides. For the mobile version it’s very small to watch.

Re: Glitches with the new website
Agree. Sorry to say, but not an improvement for smartphone users... hopefully this can be adjusted.

Re: Glitches with the new website
I would like to report some more issues:
- in Google Chrome it is not possible to reply to a message on the messageboard. There is no reply-button!
- the rss-feed does not work anymore.
- iPad Air (3rd gen.) with iPadOS13.7: the ”Community“ link on the webpage returns a blank screen.
- as stated in another topic: iPhone7 with IOS13.7: the columns are wider than the screen and cannot be scrolled left/right (website and messageboard).
To be honest, at the moment I cannot share the enthusiasm of other users about the new site, but I am confident that these issues will be solved in due time.

...also see
https://www.scramble.nl/community/messa ... 1?start=15
and further on
on the Scramble forum.
The Belgian Luchtzak.be / Aviation24.be at
https://www.aviation24.be/forums/index.php
uses the same type of messageboard for over two years now.
Apart from initial glitches it is working well, these days.
Just be patient.
...so far Scramble has done a MUCH better job than Key Publishing/Key.aero
Their migration, that started in September last year,
only caused mayhem.
Just about twenty percent of the active posters/readers in 2019 at
https://www.key.aero/forum
remain, these days. And that is an optimistic figure...
Most Key forums are all but dead now. Or dying off...

Well I can find the reply button in Chrome, but I cannot login! Signing in works with Mozilla though, but I bet the majority of the users is using Chrome.Gerard wrote: ↑03 Sep 2020, 09:51 I would like to report some more issues:

Re: Glitches with the new website
Logging in via Chrome is broken for me. Upon entering my details nothing happens. Did not get any error page.

Did you try removing cookies and or website preferences etc? It can be done via history > delete browser data in Chrome.
