They were talking about refueling themselves, not the B-52's. Believe the issue they mentioned earlier was difference between FAA and ICAO regulations and decided to cancel their AAR plans between each other. (My guess about AAR above populated area's or outside refuel track) They swapped positions during the clip, RCH701 went in front of 700. They also did a HF check.
Although these were returning from an exercise, it happend quite regurlarly in the past that two KC-10's flew towards Europe, had AAR between each other landed at different airfields and returned home a day or so later doing the same.
