...and Dutch traffic police will also target any speeding car that happens to pass them...

Politie controleert extra rond TT van Assen

ASSEN -

For those intending to travel from Hoogeveen along Emmen over the Dutch A37 to the German border, and taking the A31 Autobahn near Meppen towards the north: last Monday morning there were "Baustelle"/"Wegwerkzaamheden" between Meppen and Bunde.
Single-lane traffic both directions, speed limit of 80 kms/hr.

About 10 to 15 kilometres in length, divided between two stretches of Autobahn.
And yes, everyone adhers to the 80km/h limit!
So "flooring the pedal to the metal" won't be of much use in the morning! :(
It is alright if not too much traffic uses the A31 to the North, but if lots and lots of cars and trucks/lorries want to avoid the TT Assen 2013 and the A28... :|

According to this news item on NDR.de (North German Television), around 3000 spotters are expected on Friday and 130.000 spectators on Saturday. Also, anti-war protesters have stated they will be there too... Sounds like old times all over again... sweet nostalgia  Nice clip of one of the last flights included!
