Re: Photo topic: Storm and all other weather
Hi,
Today 20-08-09 some heavy thunderstorms on her way.
I decided to take the bike and ride to Kwadijk in the neighbourhood of Purmerend to watch the big thunderstorm wich was above the Ijselmeer/Markermeer.
And verry lucky to have 3 photo's with lightning on it.
( i make around 350 photo's in 30 minutes with my cam.)
Below you can find the results.
1: 19:48lt direction Volendam/Edam
2: 20:09lt direction Monnickendam/Katwoude
3: 20:16lt from cloud to cloud
This was the best i could make of it.
I hope you enjoy it.
Grt,
Michel

Nice shots during daytime
I tried some this evening. Made 7 shots, 3 had lightning in it, picture below is best in my opinion.
Made at 21:38 hours with the camera on a tripod; 100iso, F6.3 and 30 seconds exposure. (18mm zoom).

The sun always shines behind the clouds.......even after a KNMI Weather Alert !
This photo was taken from my rooftop at sunset.

How about this one?
On the run for a thunderstorm at 1500 feet, in front of us the sun and behind us...
We managed to reach Eindhoven Airport just before the storm hit us.
Camera: Nikon D1 met een Nikkor AF35-70 2.8 door het "achterraampje" gefotografeerd, camera op automatisch.

Hi...
Take-off was already tricky because we had the max. allowed cross-wind. We just managed to get back before the storm hit us.
A nice experience though...

No... it was made some time ago on board of a little two-seater, doing some sightseeing around Tilburg, when we met this storm. The picture was taken somehwere between Moergestel and Oirschot, camera pointed to the rear of the plane.r.e. Hendriks wrote:Was this taken on 21 July?? And were you inside the VLM Fokker 50?
