Let's just say most news articles are written by uninformed journalists... Original release by the US Navy mentions 2 crew bailed out. No mention of ejection seats...

Aussi Govt pix on FlightGlobal show Hornets (airborne) A44-209 plus A44-224 (in a temporary shelter), both fully armed. They also show Adel'A Rafale 104-GJ being refuelled by an Aussi 330 over a sandy landscape. (A39-001 and 005 were noted at Getafe two weeks ago.)
