Thanks for this one but which hangar do you mean with in the left hangar.
Static side there was sealed off hangar 3 was there this Tiger.
Or was it on the other side of the runway in the left hangar..

The C-160D is from LTG62, but still has LTG63 markings.

Hi Rene,

Hangar 3 was impossible to enter. I mean the other side of the runway, the part behind where the bolkow was parked

Also "preserved" of some sort was the cockpit of a UH-1D which was displayed in one of the hangars, next to the Alouette II. It was equipped with a simulator of sorts; on the back it was marked "GAR 72+14". Don't know if this was its actual serial though.

Out of curiosity: I missed Bo105 86+92. Where exactly was that one parked please?

It is preserved here: 51.121381, 9.291496. The UH-1 just around the corner visible on google maps isn't present anymore.

From the main gate straight ahead and after approximately 1K on your left-hand side.

Thanks. I turned right immediately after the main gate, that's why I missed it.

Although we were quite early, the heatwaves kicked in fast. Also, I only brought my small scope :-(

There were certainly six Tigres inside the south side Halle 8A / 8B.

Looking from the North, from left to right, (btw the left hangar is Halle 8B):

In 8B, left (east) side:
one UHT, nose eastward (so pointing left), plastic wrapped around tail, also obscured by support structure
one UHT, nose westward (so pointing right), this looked readable (if only I brought my swaro along...)
From the far left side of the public area, you could see one through the window of the dividing wall, or at least the rotor head + radar.
Probably one of the next two:

In 8B, right (west) side:
one UHT, nose eastward
one UHT, nose westward, I think this was 74+40 (not sure were I read that)

In 8A, left (east) side:
two UHT, noses eastward, closest was either the 74+40 or that could be 38 or 32?, the one behind was either 10 or 19
Both also looked do-able, although obscured by scaffolding, aggregates or whatever...

In 8A, right (west) side, so nearest the preserved Bolkow):
could not see any one in there

That is my 2 cents, any help much appreciated!

Okay, summary 2:

In 8B, left (east side)
one UHT, nose eastward (plastic wrapped), nn
one UHT, nose westward, 74+31 (or was this one 38?)

In 8B, right (west) side:
one UHT, nose eastward, 74+38 (or was this one 31?)
one UHT, nose westward, 74+40

In 8A, left (east) side:
two UHT, noses eastward, 74+32 in front and 74+19 (or 10) behind (74+19 was flying around here last week)

In 8A, right (west) side, so nearest the preserved Bolkow):
one UHT, east side, only visible from outside the base 74+23

With many thanks to Corné, Joris, René and Nilson
Who can fill in the last gaps / confirm the parking locations please?

best regards,
Erwin
