RAF Typhoon should have come, but the aircraft has been withdrawn from the circuit, due to Libya. Although it might be some members of the team will take up a stand at the show.

Hi all,

picked up a RUMOUR which I would lik to share. I hope this will not be true .

The dutch defence cutbacks are now known. The armed forces need no personel anymore. Infact they have to fire about 6.000 employees. The dutch airshow at Leeuwarden has lost it's most important goal which is to attract young people for the armed forces. So the airshow at Leeuwarden will be probalably cancelled.

Again this is a RUMOUR!

"Presentazione in volo di aeromobili" means "presentation in flight", i.e. flying display...

Would be great to see the "new" C-130H G-781 Herc from 336 and perhaps the non 334sq DC-10 T-255 at static or flying display
on the 16th or 17th of Leeuwsrden and an NH-90 from the MLD on static?

The t-255 doesnt get into service with the klu. So what should be any reason to show this plane at the luchtmacht dagen.

The t-255 doesnt get into service with the klu. So what should be any reason to show this plane at the luchtmacht dagen.

And the NH-90s are not MLD. Although it was meant that way for a very long time, they are Air Force, as part of DHC.

To my latest knowledge the EF2000 does not perform because of a lack of qualified pilots due to operational requirements. That may be the cause for the remarks on the above mentioned website: either a PR team is dispatched or it is 'to be advised'. It may be depending on the operational requirement of day-to-day duties whether there is a performance at all, let alone on one ot both days..
Same website: “The team will be sending a PR presence to as many air shows as possible over the summer. If operational circumstances allow we hope to reinstate the aircraft display at the earliest opportunity”.
