Re: Orders thread 2011
Because the Easyjet order is booked in 2010, this is the 2011 topic.
http://www.airbus.com/fileadmin/backsta ... veries.xls (Excel file)
Easyjet - 15 A320's - Booked 31 Dec 2010
But I didn't think it through that the Thomas Cook order had been announced earlier as a MoU, Because Airbus doesn't publish the order in their orderbooks until it's a firm order and if necessary approved by the government (China for example) the order will be booked in 2011.
Changed it a little :
Memorandum of Understanding:
180 A320's by IndiGo (Expect firm order very soon)
Firm Orders:
12 A330-300 for GECAS
6 A380-800 for Asiana
12 A321 for Thomas Cook UK
30 firm orders and a pretty strong commitment for 180 aircraft, great score for the first 4 weeks of this year

ATI previously reported Comair, a British Airways franchise operation, tentatively signed for the aircraft in February 2010, at which point the carrier said deliveries would stretch between 2012-2015.

Re: Orders thread 2011
Virgin Blue (DJ/VOZ) has signed a deal with ATR for 18 ATR72 both -500s and -600s).
These will most likely be operated by WA-based Skywest Airlines who signed a 10-year deal recently to operate regional flights on DJ's behalf (mainly on the east coast I expect).

And this order has now been increased to three B777-300ER!flying_kiwi wrote:American Airlines (AA/AAL), has signed a deal with Boeing for 2 B777-300ERs, which will make the airline the first operator of the type in the US.
I'm assuming that they will be sourcing more of the type, whether buying (secondhand or new), or leasing.
