Hi, good evening,

Okay, here is some more information about the "Guardrail" spot at Davis-Monthan AFB. Please be advised, this was current as of March / April 2010, I don't know the present situation.

Here is a general overview of the area, where you can park your car out of sight and from spot 1 you can climp on top of a small hill, where you look at the "guardrail" (Picture 1).
If you look to the West from this parking area, you are looking to the crossing of South Alvernon Way and East Technical Drive, see picture 2.
From this spot (number 2) you can watch the aircraft turn on a left hand final for runway 12. See pictures 3 and 4.

PICTURE 3 and 4, A-10s TURNING FINAL FOR RUNWAY 12:

From spot 2 you can take excellent pictures from all aicraft on finals for runway 12 (picture 5), but please be aware that you only have a few seconds as the aircraft sometimes disappear behind some small trees (picture 6).

PICTURE 6, BE AWARE OF THE TREES ........

Finally, from spot 3 on the map, you will have a better look over the field, you will see this hanger aswell:

Hopefully this is usefull, if you need more details about the location for runway 30, please do not hesitate to ask.

Ah, now I know why no RAF transport arrived @ Nellis to pick these Tonkas up...
