This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Great shots all!
.
Very pitty of the backlite allday.
Paying €25 is quite lot of money.
Maybe it will e better to get the public at the other side of the runway!!

Whoa! The banking is definitely more spectacular, but this one wins for B-52 lighting!REACH111 wrote:One shot of mine....

Nice pictures, pity for the backlight conditions...
@REACH111, did you take the picture of the B-52 at Sanicole? It has better light than what we are used to at Sanicole...

Apparently some people were able to find a reasonable spot on the other side...

I was on the other side. Navigation: Fortstraat, Leopoldsburg. From this road you can follow a path through the forest that's leading you to a large open (grass) field...Paveway wrote:Nice pictures, pity for the backlight conditions...

This spot was fine for the B-52, but the most aircrafts were too far away...

Ah ok, that explains the good lighting on your photo.REACH111 wrote:I was on the other side. Navigation: Fortstraat, Leopoldsburg. Indeed, I have heard from a Belgian spotter (who was also wiped away from Kleine Brogel) that the distance to the display line from the location that you mention is quite far (at least 400mm is needed to make a decent picture).

Hi...
They always have a great show at Sanicole but it's worthless for photographers, because the sun is in front of you.
That's why I dont go there anymore, I don't want to pay € 25,00 for "silhouet-pictures"...
Grtz.

I do not disagree with that Zipper ! On top of it, the official speaker warned the crowd many times during the show to be cautious using the binoculars. For the sake of public health (half kidding), an alternative solution could be envisaged by the organization.

Indeed, 400mm was in most cases not even enough... and heavy cropping was needed:
