Dassault opens new Maintenance facility for Falcon near Bordeaux

Dassault Aviation inaugurated its new maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility for the revision and repair of Falcon models last week.

The new 160,000 sq. ft. (49,000 sq. m) building complements existing facilities located at Le Bourget airport near Paris, now insufficient for their needs.

If it is the Falcon 9X that is launched, the number sequencing suggests that the aircraft will have higher specs and a larger cabin than the current top-of-the-range Dassault aircraft, the Falcon 8X – itself a one meter stretch of the Falcon 7X.

Gulfstream’s new G600 large-cabin business jet made its first flight on Saturday, beginning a flight-test program that is set to lead to type certification and first deliveries in 2018. The U.S. manufacturer has inducted two other G600 test aircraft into its flight-test center and these are expected to make first flights early in 2017.

Cirrus Aircraft delivered the first Vision Jet on 19 December to private owner and long-time customer, Joe Whisenhunt.

Cirrus is the first to secure validation for a Part 23 single-engine jet.

Other programmes – such as the Diamond D-Jet, Eclipse 400 and Piper Altaire – have been cancelled or are dormant.

Cirrus has secured around 600 orders for the $1.96 million Williams International FJ33-5A-powered Vision.

It has been mentioned before that this Eclips has been sold to someone in Vegas and used the a/c for spares. According http://ammeurope.nl/buy_sell/eclipse500_forsale.php and FAA register (10-8-2015) for the confirmation, does not specify when the a/c moved.
