De komst van Jordanie naar de NSS is intussen ook zeker. Delegatie wordt geleid door HM King Abdullah II
Airbus A318 VQ-BDD is een waarschijnlijke kandidaat. Helaas vliegen de toestellen van de regering van Jordanie niet meer in Royal Jordanian kleuren. Reden de opstand in het Midden Oosten. Bevolking wilde geen dure toestellen. Dat is ook de reden dat de A340-600 niet in gebruik is genomen.

Ook Premier John Key van Nieuw Zeeland is bevestigt. Hij gaat eerst naar China en Hong Kong.

update: Ook de Prime Minister van Vietnam Nguyen Tan Dung is bevestigt. De voorzitter van de National Assembly van Vietnam is vandaag op Geneve aangekomen met Vietnam Airlines A330 VN-A377. De premier zal dus ook wel een A330 of B777 gebruiken.

Ik weet niet of ik nu iets verkeerds ga zeggen, maar is het niet beter als we elkaar met informatie gaan bestoken waar we buiten de Haarlemmermeer wel foto's kunnen maken, of gaat ieder zijn eigen geheim niet verklappen.

We worden nu alleen maar lekker gemaakt met dingen die we of van grote afstand kunnen volgen of niet eens te zien krijgen.

Is dat zo ingewikkeld dan? Ervan uitgaande dat men 18C-36C zal prefereren open je Googlemaps of een andere willekeurige plattegrond, trek je een rechte lijn van 18C naar het noorden en een rechte lijn van 36C naar het zuiden, kijk je wanneer je de Ringvaart tegenkomt, en voilà, daar heb je je antwoord. De Haarlemmermeer stopt bij de Ringvaart dus zodra je aan de overkant staat kun je foto's maken tot je een ons weegt.

Het filter is waarschijnlijk het vluchtnummer. RCH35x lijkt de reeks de zijn waarmee de C17s vliegen welke spullen voor Obama naar Europa vliegen.

Filter is dan niet correct, aangezien de vluchtnummer vanaf 350 en hoger zijn (in ieder geval t/m in de 37*), maar ook een enkele 4**.

Daarnaast betreft die reeks alle C-17 vluchten mbt POTUS visit, dus ook die naar Brussel, Spang, Ramstein en Rome (om maar een paar te noemen).

That has to do with the way Dutch authorities have constructed the rules for the NSS. The municipality of Haarlemmermeer has given the authority to law enforcement agencies such as the Police and the KMar (military police) to act against people carrying (amongst other things) cameras and telephoto lenses "when endangering public order". The definition of "endangering public order" is obviously a very vague one. It might be that "too many people on the spotting terrace" is a reason, or "parking where obstructing roads", or "too many people standing next to a busy road", or indeed none of the above! It allows individual law enforcement officials to make individual choices. So, in principle, cameras etc are allowed as long as you are not "endangering public order" (in the eyes of law enforcement). If they feel you ARE doing so (something which you cannot argue against), they CAN fine you, but they can also just ask you to leave or to stow your equipment. Individual choices make for difficult guidelines on what you can or cannot do... The gut feeling over here is that the aim is to scare most people into not coming over, and that you will probably be OK if you stick to the basic traffic rules (and avoiding closed-off areas obviously) etc so as not to give officials an excuse to invoke the "endangering public order" thing. However, this rule of thumb is no guarantee! Basically, authorities have given law enforcement "a big stick" and there's no telling if, why and when they will be using it

Just a quick question, it's just a rumour but I've hard from a spotter in NL that apparantly the 'camera and lense prohibition' in Haarlemermeer will after all be cancelled so it shouldn't be a problem to take pictures (except for inside the security perimeter). HAs anyone get more info on that, what is the truth in that..?

That is very unlikely and I think it won't happen just because of the different reasons Frank mentioned in his post about why these rules are implemented. Cancelling the whole thing would surely lead to chaotic situations around the runways with all kinds of problems mentioned earlier. The idea about the rules is to prevent that and therefore discourage photographers to go to Schiphol.

Op een kaart van de gemeente Haarlemmermeer staat dat de A5 gesloten is van zondag 16:00 tot maandag 15:00 en van dinsdag 13:00 tot woensdag 05:00uur.
Heeft iemand ervaring of je de kisten van af de A5 goed kan zien?

ff in het Engels voor groter publiek:
Driving over the A5 one should be able to see most or all aircraft parked on 18R/36L. When combined with a driver over the N205 this should yield a (near) full log of sightings. Actually reading them off will be another story from those roads.
