Good morning,

The 6 Mirage 2000Ds were re-deployed from Solenzara to Souda on 18 and 19 April.
Known serials so far:
666/133-IO Mirage 2000D EC01.003 > ops Souda 19apr
654/133-ID Mirage 2000D EC01.003 > ops 25mar,ops Souda 19apr
671/133-XK Mirage 2000D EC03.003 > ops 21mar,ops Souda 19apr
634/133-JE Mirage 2000D EC01.003 > ops Solenzara 28mar
667/133-JZ Mirage 2000D EC02.003 > ops Solenzara 21mar
672/133-XV Mirage 2000D EC03.003 > ops Solenzara 20mar

It is possible that from the last three mentioned a/c were replaced.

A fast jet is off the runway at Sigonella and there's some probs for returning jets, plus one of the MOBIL tankers may have a problem with his boom which is complicating matters for the jets trying to get some more gas before hopefully they make it to Sig.

This morning an F16 from United Arab Emirates landing at the base of Sigonella Sicily went off of the runway and the pilot ejected when the plane was already on the ground.
The F-16 took off from Deci this morning, UAE jets are moving from Decimomannu to Sigonella.

Yesterday it was time for the Mirages...and today it was time for the F-16! It seems that the F-16 was on the flight from Deci to Sigonella...and one of the six has suffered the problem during the landing.
The movement from Deci to Sigonella was unexpected to all...the only reason I heared is to save money because now Sigonella has some free spots and it's closer to Libya! anyway it makes no sense to me...
Emirates that want to save gas??? :) it looks ridiculous to me...
I hope that some jets will replace them in deci...

OK, that makes it all clear.

Anything know about the fate of the crashed F-16? Is it completely written off?
