Forum for all matters concerning Amsterdam-Schiphol airport (and control zone, including heliport). Customary language is Dutch, but English is also accepted.
From what I gather, the situation today Saturday was:
- non-photographing spotters left alone at all locations as long as no traffic disturbed etc.
- photogs allowed to be active even in Haarlemmermeer, provided at some distance from the airport (varying)
- authorities still rather relaxed, special rules not enforced without clear reasons
- photogs encouraged to use locations just outside Haarlemmermeer, like Amsterdamse Bos for landings 27
Rember the no-go zone west of the A4 motorway is in force now.
Erik
P.S. thanks all for staying on topic rest of the day!

Are you sure the A5 is closed as well? various sources (www.vananaarbeter.nl, gemeente Haarlemmermeer) claim that the A5 will be closed on Sunday 16:00

I have to catch a flight myself tomorrow around 2:30 pm...can anyone give a hint from which pier something can be seen? Thanx!
Erik
Depends. The Air China is parked close to the begining of runway 36L. But going further north the runway gets closer to the N205. I drove by this evening. If you are not driving you might even read some registrations of aircraft parked at the 18R end of the runway. There are no barriers placed to restrict view. Trees are still without leaves here so no obstruction.

Dus zondag 1600 klaar
C'mon chaps, the A5-A44 closure has its own times, stated at various locations including our own airfield guide. The rest of the 'red area restrictions' started tonight at 6 pm according H'meer (and reported into effect on at least two locations).
just had a nice talk with the Military police parked at the McDonalds near 27. they will accept gedoog people with cameras. as long ad safety is not endangered photos are not a problem. they keep monitoring the situation. they radioed the number of spotters in the area.

Expected around 8am on Monday morning, runway remains to be seen. IF it will take the same runway as the other participants it will be 18C and a good spot to view it would be 'Natuurpark Osdorp', just outside the Haarlemmermeer. No problem to take pictures from there. But again IF it takes the 18C.
