This fire brigade presence next to the runway was a special one: a wave for the very last flight / very last landing for a pilot (Désirée?) on KL-592 JNB-AMS (B-777-200ER).

It appears that DAL134 had something like a tail strike just before the threshold 22 this morning 12 Jan 2023. Some lights were damaged on the ground and have been repaired.
Side note: MSM report 'an aircraft landed before the runway' but that needs some nuance.

Wat ze vergeten te melden is dat er nog ruim een uur, tot 10 uur lokaal, op 22 geland is. Tegen elf uur waren er eigenlijk weer twee landingsbanen nodig geweest, dat werd nu helaas 25 min. later.

Dat viel mij ook op ja. De PH-BHD was de laatste op de 22 en die daarachter (B787-10 KLM) brak de approach af en ging naar de 27.
Ben dan wel nieuwsgierig waarom er zo'n tijd tussen heeft gezeten qua DL en laatste landing rond 10h.

Inmiddels heb ik vernomen dat de rommel op de baan pas om 10 uur ontdekt is. Was ook niet meteen duidelijk welke kist het geweest was. Overigens toch met (één zo lijkt het) landing gear nét voor het beton in het gras.
