Hail Damage is that the surfaces of the aircraft especually the flying surfaces was hit by hail stone. The stones hittint the surfaces leave dents. These have to be measured for there depth, dimendions and position. Then Boeing is notified and they will send a repair plan.

Why is MPP staying longer? Still working on it or something else.

Re: Inside the Hangars at Schiphol Airport - 2010
The PH-MPP has still much work left before it can fly again and alot of test work cause alot of parts has been removed and it already has an big delay..Why is MPP staying longer? Still working on it or something else.

Re: Inside the Hangars at Schiphol Airport - 2010
In what kind of condition did it go into the dessert for storage and in what condition did it come out? What happened that it currently is in such a bad shape that it not able to fly?

Re: Inside the Hangars at Schiphol Airport - 2010
Well there was not a big problem untill ACG (Air Cargo Germany) decided to give the plane new flaps, engines, and landing gear for example and a big wiring mod has to be done from flightdeck to the tail and into the wings so thats an unplanned heavy maintenance visit. thats why it takes so long and why its going to last a few weeks more is because of the capacity of the mechanics en engineers...In what kind of condition did it go into the dessert for storage and in what condition did it come out? What happened that it currently is in such a bad shape that it not able to fly?

Re: Inside the Hangars at Schiphol Airport - 2010
