TLP 2008/4 ..... some help
Hi Guys, never been @TLP, next august I'd like to go to Florennes for the TLP 2008/4 session and I'm asking some help.
If it starts on 18th, when they will arrive? Are they usually coming on the previous friday (so assuming the 15th... is it holiday on 15th like in Italy?)
Will they fly the first days? (18-21).
This because I can be there only from 15th to 22th of august.
thanks for the help, I really do not know how it works the TLP.

Hello,
The first planes can arrive on 14 and or 15th of august, but sometimes they will arrive also at the first and or second day of the TLP.
So don't expect all of them to be there the 18th....
Would like to advice you to have a regular look at this site ( TLP-section )
to find out more about participants and or non-flyingdays.
Hope this helps you out....
Grtz, Rene

TLP leaves Florennes in June 2009 (official news)
I have received this official news from TLP:
"As you probably know TLP will move from Belgium to Spain in July 2009.
TLP Florennes has been, and still is, a great success. This is all because of the effort and enthusiasm you have put into TLP.
It is because of the success and comradery for which TLP is famous, that the TLP Cdt would like to organize a reunion of current and “old” TLP personnel. This reunion will be scheduled for June 2009 and will be combined with the official closing ceremony at Florennes."

Re: participants
It is certainly not, but as for most major exercises and events, less and less information is known in advance. From a personal view i am already satisfied if i can find a date and place.Withnail wrote:and what about the participants? thereare just tornado's mentioned. can't imagine that's all.
So be patience. If some information is known it will be spread via the regular channels.

Dear All,
As I promised in my earlier message, here is an update on the TLP Spotters Day.
There is a big possibility that Spotters Day will also be canceled for the 2008-4 course. We will allow a small contingent of aviation journalists on-base, but this will be pre-arranged by the Belgian MoD. I'm sorry to say that no requests can be made to be included on that list.
If SD were to be re-instated, I will let you know via this and other internet forums, as well as a message on our website
We are aware that a cancellation of Spotters Day for this course, and possibly a permanent cancel for Spotters Day, is a great disappointment to some. I hope you can appreciate the fact that we have always had excellent relations with spotters, and we would like to continue that. I always say, you guys are our greatest fans!
However, the situation may not allow us the level of liberty we used to have in these matters. We are, after all, responsible for some of the most advanced jets in the world. We will continue to work towards a solution but can make no promises.
If you have any questions, feel free to post them into this forum or email them to tlp@skynet.be. if you send a mail, please put
