This is a Great Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocopos major). In Durch they're called 'Grote bonte specht'.

I like the Lepelaar
I had to turn the camera on1/2000 f/6.3 ISO 500 to get this pheasant in the picture which was under attack by 2 lapwings ( Kieviet ) and one
black-tailed godwit ( grutto ).

Nice ones Martijn! It looks like the pheasant was not that impressed by the attack and the sheep looks bored too!
number 4 is the best one: there you have both the pheasant and the lapwing sharp with the pheasant in a nice position facing the camera.
