This is a Great Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocopos major). In Durch they're called 'Grote bonte specht'.

I had to turn the camera on1/2000 f/6.3 ISO 500 to get this pheasant in the picture which was under attack by 2 lapwings ( Kieviet ) and one
black-tailed godwit ( grutto ).

Then it must be the brother. His sister looks more like your cat. I will place a pic as soon as posible. But everytime I want to take one of her she turns her head or just wals away.

Nice ones Martijn! It looks like the pheasant was not that impressed by the attack and the sheep looks bored too!
number 4 is the best one: there you have both the pheasant and the lapwing sharp with the pheasant in a nice position facing the camera.
