This is a Great Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocopos major). In Durch they're called 'Grote bonte specht'.
( someone told me on my flickr-page )

I like the Lepelaar :clap:

I had to turn the camera on1/2000 f/6.3 ISO 500 to get this pheasant in the picture which was under attack by 2 lapwings ( Kieviet ) and one
black-tailed godwit ( grutto ).

Then it must be the brother. His sister looks more like your cat. I will place a pic as soon as posible. But everytime I want to take one of her she turns her head or just wals away. :?

Nice ones Martijn! It looks like the pheasant was not that impressed by the attack and the sheep looks bored too! :P
number 4 is the best one: there you have both the pheasant and the lapwing sharp with the pheasant in a nice position facing the camera.
