Not as big as most of the other yaks in this topic, but I hope these will fit in here These shots are taken at Spa-La Sauvenière Aérodrome (belgium) in August:
airframe was LY-OLI, based at Spa... the passenger in the back seemed to be very happy

From what distance from the runway did you shoot these images ?maaspotter wrote:Not as big as most of the other yaks in this topic, but I hope these will fit in here These shots are taken at Spa-La Sauvenière Aérodrome (belgium) in August:

Re: Yakovlev topic
Not a lot. I guess the threshold is about 75 meters from a public road, very fun when there is a "heavy" skydive aircraft (skyvan/C212) operating out of Spa, you always get some low-over-your-head-shots... This time the yak pilot noticed us when he taxied to the runway, resulting in some "aiming at the fotographers" action. Estimate he was not more then 5 meters over our headStratofreighter wrote:From what distance from the runway did you shoot these images ?maaspotter wrote:Not as big as most of the other yaks in this topic, but I hope these will fit in here These shots are taken at Spa-La Sauvenière Aérodrome (belgium) in August:

Re: Yakovlev topic
Great shots Rob! Unfortunately, the Yak only has two blades which does not give a nice propblur for my taste. But that has nothing to do with your stunning photographs. The blur of js51672 is of course very nice but I doubt that this can be achieved in mid air.
Hereby some Yaks I shot at the last Sanicole airshow:
