Re: Spotterday Anatolean Eagle 17-19 June
The one which arrived after "we" were dropped was T.10-03. The last group was still there when it arrived and somebody was able to take a photo of it.Freyaollie wrote:The Spanish herc which arrived just after we were dropped at the main gate was in grey scheme,by all accounts the second Spanish herc was in camo scheme.
Any tie-ups on which was which.
The only thing I could see is that it was grey.

That was Ce550 007 as already noted in Jonathan's log; they have only 2 and 008 was in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) for maintenance at the time.

Re: Spotterday Anatolean Eagle 17-19 June
There were a NF-5A and NF-5B in the hangar near the F-4E flightline on 17th of june which was closed soon after we arrived.
Read the code on the NF-5A as 3 and couldn't see the NF-5B code.
On the 18th NF-5A 3032/3 and NF-5B 4020/7 were towed to the other side of the field.

Hello Jonathan,Jonathan wrote:I made this log from my notes and pics of the spottersdays. There are a few blanks (such as two Turkish C-130's on the 19th), and one of the Hueys needs confirmation. I am also not entirely certain of the exact location of each of the Turkish F-16's. It seems that some were moved around over the days. Any other corrections or amendments are welcome as well!
Best wishes,

The second E-7T was definitely 13-003. I identified it when it was pulled from the hangar on the 17th and on the 18th I identified the name on the aircraft as Guney. You could easily see this one from the spot where we photographed the departing Turkish fighter aircraft in the late afternoon.
So 13-001 and 13-003.

Concerning the F5's: there also was one being towed across the field when we arrived on wednesday morning around 9 AM. Did anyone get that one?

The NF-5A with code #3, was in the "wash"-hangar the next day: 70-3032Lex wrote:There were a NF-5A and NF-5B in the hangar near the F-4E flightline on 17th of june which was closed soon after we arrived.

thank you for the correction. So, 13-002 was never seen during this days in Konya?
13-001 was the one with unit markings and 13-003 had no unit markings, correct?
Also, was 13-003 the E-7 outside on Saturday morning?
Best greetings
Marcus

Oops.... I feel very stupid. I have 002 in my notes, but I seem to have forgotten to take a picture of this one, so I cannot check... Could it be that both the 002 and the 003 have been outside at some point (although never together)?Hans van Herk wrote:Hello Jonathan,Jonathan wrote:I made this log from my notes and pics of the spottersdays. Indeed, at least I did not see 13-002. I identified 13-003 on both days (Wednesday and Thursday).
And 13-003 was unmarked. It even did not have the last three of the serial on the nose. I compared it with 13-001 and there the last three were just above the name.
I am not sure on the Saturday morning, but as far as I can remember it was parked in the same position as 13-001 when it arrived late afternoon on Thursday.
So I assume at this point this was 13-001.
Regards,
Hans
