Re: Frisian Flag 2018
Hi there, can the visiting aircraft for FF 2018 be seen during the weekend?
I heard that the Americans can be viewed from outside.
Any help is more than welcome.

Tony, from a little hill called "bult" or "spottersbult" at the Marsum side you could read off some German Air Force EF2000s in the past.Tony wrote:Hi there, can the visiting aircraft for FF 2018 be seen during the weekend?

Re: Frisian Flag 2018
Dear all,
I have never come to Frisian Flag in the past, I'd like to come, this year; but in the maps I see on the net, I noticed those big, red shaded areas, near the two base edges, where it should not be possible to go....(even on foot?)
So, my question is, is it possible to take landing pictures on the eastern end of the runway? (as one should... presume, .. but those red areas scare me...)
Thanks in advance for possible advice ...

Re: Frisian Flag 2018
There's a small space in the field on the eastern end where you can catch them landing. See map @ https://agl-fullstop.nl/images/VERKEERS ... lein).jpeg This space is marked as a blue square. The rest is indeed off-limits.
Re: Frisian Flag 2018
Many thanks for the useful info, nilsko I read about the spottersbult, of course, but I also had in mind the other side, in case they landed from east (rwy 23) ..... I can only hope (wonder) if there will be room for everybody , in that little blue square (as I said, I've never been there, I have no clue about the place, then)nilsko wrote:There's a small space in the field on the eastern end where you can catch them landing. Re: Frisian Flag 2018
Personally I don't think this is the best FF ever, given the participants this year. Never had problems in the previous years to 'do my thing' and don't expect any problems this year either.muma07 wrote:Many thanks for the useful info, nilsko I read about the spottersbult, of course, but I also had in mind the other side, in case they landed from east (rwy 23) ..... Re: Frisian Flag 2018
In my experience the space offers enough room for everyone to do their thing. It's a two week exercise and as long as the weather plays along and thus giving everyone ample possibilities to visit in the best circumstances there should be no problems. I hope for eastern/northern winds as the Marssum side is best w/ regard to photos.muma07 wrote:Many thanks for the useful info, nilsko I read about the spottersbult, of course, but I also had in mind the other side, in case they landed from east (rwy 23) .....
