Some updates in the phase-out of KLM 737's. PH-BDR (734) will fly last commercial KLM-flight(s) on 1st of March 2009 Rgds, Roel

I think PH-BDR will make it's last flight as: 1st of March 2009: KL1833/1834 18:10/21:45 TXL vv.

Because it will leave to NWI: 2nd of March 2009: KL7054 07:00 NWI PH-BDR 734.

Will confirm it tomorrow Chris.

I heard from AAX crews that mid-March was now expected, around the 20th.
But don't hold be to that!!

PH-BDR will get its phase-out check in NWI.
Will return to AMS early/mid April for getting painted (white) and some last work in Hg10.
No news yet on a new operator.

Any insight when these (probable) new KLM Embraers will be delivered?

SAO PAULO - Luchtvaartmaatschappij Air France-KLM wil zeven extra vliegtuigen van de Braziliaanse vliegtuigbouwer Embraer aanschaffen.

Voorwaarde is wel dat er voor eind mei een exportgarantie van de Braziliaanse ontwikkelingsbank op tafel ligt. Daarvoor moet de normale procedure worden ingekort.

Dat heeft KLM-directeur Peter Hartman maandag in Sao Paulo gezegd. Dinsdag heeft hij een gesprek met topman Fred Curado van Embraer.


Banen

De vliegtuigfabrikant kondigde vorige maand aan 4200 banen te schrappen als gevolg van de economische crisis.

Het bedrijf wil graag nieuwe orders en kan die volgens Hartman krijgen, als KLM de garantie krijgt dat de zaak eind mei financieel is geregeld.

I prefer not to speculate in this topic.

No type is mentioned AFAIK, no date is mentioned and again nothing is signed yet.
If and when a deal has been signed, i assume both parties will make some sort of announcement.
