The Swiss Air Force is announcing their attendance (Patrouille Suisse and PC-7 team) at AIRE75 in Madrid on 10 and 11 October 2014.

The Spanish Air Force celebrates is 75th anniversary in 7 October 2014.

Anyone who has more details?

My educated guess it that it will be centered around the "Dias the Hispanidad", 12-10 used to be the date that a large military parade is held in Madrid, comparable to 14th of july in France. The last to years they have skipped the military parade due to budgetary reasons. Torrejon is usually the staging base for the fighters, Cuatro Vientos for the helicopters during the parade.

I got the following from the Patrulla Aguila FB a few days ago:

There'll be an air show in Madrid (Getafe) in october the 10th or the 11th

The name of the Airshow is AIRE 75

I think the Spanish Air Force will create (soon) a web concerning this event

Spanish Air Fore says:

At the moment we only can tell you the dates 9-11 October 2014 and the location, Torrejón Air Base.

Apparently AIRE 75 will be the only airshow outside of Poland where the Sukhoi Su-22 pair flying display is supposed to appear this year.

10 Oct: static 14-20 hours
11 Oct: airshow 10-20 hours

Does anybody knows if there is still an air defilé over Madrid on Sunday 12 October for their national day? The last time they did was in 2011, and in the next 2 years they did no air defile. Maybe with the 75th anniversary they will host one again? Can anybody confirm this?

Hi Wim,

As far as I understood there will not be a air defile over Madrid this year (most likely because they already do the airshow).
Got this information from a Spanish friend. If anything, then there will be a parade on the ground and the PATRULLA ÁGUILA will fly over Madrid like they have done the past 2 years.

At Diaz de Hispanidad, the Army will parade through the streets of Madrid. Just like Quatorze Juilliet in Paris.
