Hi
Update will be given 'later this month' so probably about a week or a couple of days before the event.
So far only this is known (and not confirmed finally): should start 2 April in early afternoon and would end 3 April around midday.
No times confirmed yet, but to come ...
Greets, Yannick

First flights allready on Sunday
According to Luchtzak forum, already 3 flights expected next Sunday and monday:
Sunday 30-03-2014
XT-BFA 727-200 ETA: 2100 (Burkina Faso)
3C-EGE 737-700 ETA: 1625 (Equatorial Guinee)
Monday 31-03-2014
3DC-SWZ MD-87 ETA: 1340LT (Swaziland)
Furthermore, the 31st of March, the President of Senegal is expected in Berlin. So possibly it's A.319 expected at Brussel afterwards?

There are some doubts if Joseph Kabila (D.R. Congo) is attending.
Anyone more info about this ? Thanks in advance.

Re: EU - Africa Summit Brussels April 2014
Hi
I would hope that most of them will arrive the morning of the 2nd April, that would be nice since the meeting starts in the early afternoon.
But I've heard rumours (apparantly with 'background info') that there will be most of them arriving on the 1st as of 16hrs (LT or not ...?), would be a pity if most keep arriving in late evening (in darkness).
Anyone has more knowledge about this, will there still be many a/c arriving on the 2nd?
Thx & greetings, Yannick

Well I just received the full list of arrivals.... it will be a mad house as on APR 1st there will be a NATO summit followed on the 2nd with a EU summit , combined with the Africa summit..
Going through the list only 2 classics... XT-BFA B727-200w Burkina Faso, and 5U-BAG B737-200 Niger.. All other aircraft are a mix of too many bizjets, even NEtjets hired by some delegations.
I can share the aircraft involved but not the timings flight numbers
Here we go..
Angola FA7x VQ-BLP
Benin A320 CS-TFY
Burkina Faso B727 XT-BFA
Congo B767-200 P4-CLA

Re: EU - Africa Summit Brussels April 2014
Hi
tonjochems ... are these really ALL the visitors?
Admitted there are some nice ones amongst them but actually I honestly find it only few ... it's not even 1/3 or 1/4 of the members of the African Union and thought there where going to be 80 delegations as this was to be called 'the largest summit ever organised in the history of EU' in several press articles.
Just a small footnote, it's not a 'NATO summit' being held at BRU unfortunatly, a NATO summit would be regared as to be a 'major' event and is only held annualy (this year 4-5 Sept in Newport, UK) and gathers all memberstate's leaders. The meeting you refer to is a 'meeting of ministers of Foreign Affairs' at the NATO hq at Brussels (Evere) and as far as I know it hasn't really previously resulted in really special visitors into BRU (or I must be mistaken). NATO Defence ministers meeting is a whole other story however. Well praying there will be some nice NATO visitors but I don't expect more for that then the usual (maybe GAF Global Express and maybe Polish CASA CN295 or so like in the past, but for the rest ... to be seen).
I'll be around those days, hoping for more ...
Thx for sharing

A tricky one. P4-CLA is operating Congo Brazzaville or Congo Kinshasa (DRC)?

Hi
So i presume there wont be so many 'heads of state' after all, rather 'heads of government' or 'delegates of government', since otherwise they would obviously come with their own plane ...
It's a pity. Considering the summit last December in paris ... anyway I will enjoy it either way.
