According to;

4 or 5 Mirage F-1 Aircraft will make a farewell flypast during the parade on 14 July in Paris.

Can somebody tells me what's the best place to make picture of this fly-past??
I am looking for a higher-and accessible place to photograph.
I hope that can give me some tips.
Thanx!!

In the past they ran special facilities at the Grande Arche at La Defense for this, though I don't know if this is still going on.

See Scramble 418 (mar14) for the serials of the Mirage F1s for the flypast.
As mentioned there 5 a/c will fly (1 is air spare) and all will recover at Chateaudun.

It will be difficult to find a high vantage point, the Grande Arche in La Defense closed for the public years ago. The Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower are both closed on those days. I normally position myself on the Esplanade des Invalides.

This picture was made with 70 mm, so maybe with 400mm you can take nice pictures from here?

I don't think it would work out, as the planes fly above the Champs Elysees, which is too far away from Tour Montparnasse.

I do not know with what you mean with "as well", but in the previous years all aircraft recovered to their own bases.
This year the Mirage F1s will be an exception as the will recover into Chateaudun for storage.

Don't know about the Arc, but the Eiffel Tower was open last year.
Always wondered how photographing the fly-past from up there would be like.

All,

themes this year;
100 years Remembrance Great War 1914-1918.
80 years Armee de 'l Air, French Air Force
50 years Forces Aériennes Stratégiques

Looks promising.

Cheers Jan.
