Hiya,
Sunday the 12th of August 2007 is the date that Jeju Air Dash 8Q 402 HL5256 overran the runway at PUS and was written off
Not clear to me is what happened to the plane afterwards. The registration was cancelled in 2010 but is there anyone around who knows what happened to the plane
As I'll go over to South Korea next week for some wreck & relics hunting I was wondering if this one is still around somewhere
Many thanks in advance
Chris

Re: REQ: Busan Gimhae Int. Airport. (PUS / RKPK)
A bit late now Chris but HL5256 sat in the corner of Busan's ramp for quite a while 2 maybe even 3 years with the logos painted out and covered up while I assume the usual arguement about insurance payout took place.
On one of my subsequent visits it had then completely disappeared, I assume cut up for scrap, but given Korea's ability to save airframes it wouldn't surprise me if it had found its why to a technical school of some description.
How did you get on anyway? What W&R did you find?
