Airshow debut statement for the RIAT is correct. The F-35 at LWD will be there for testing matters, not for the airshow/display!

F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter Confirmed!
Aviation history will be made this summer when the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, the Joint Strike Fighter makes its international display debut at the Air Tattoo.
This will include the F-35B short take-off/vertical landing version, demonstrating the Harrier-like 'hover' required for operation from austere land-bases and aircraft carriers.
Visitors to the Air Tattoo will be the first outside of the United States to see the aircraft's state-of-the-art capabilities when it displays on all three days, July 8-10. Read the full F-35 story HERE.

The RIAT is wrong in this. A dutch F-35A will be first in June during the KLu open dagen. The ones in the UK wil be F-35B`s and they will be the first of this subtype.

Het nieuwe gevechtsvliegtuig van de
luchtmacht,de JSF of F-35,komt voor het
eerst naar Nederland.Eind mei is het
toestel in Leeuwarden en Volkel,onder
meer voor geluidsmetingen.In juni staat
het toestel op de Luchtmachtdagen in
Leeuwarden.In totaal is de JSF drie
weken in Nederland.De luchtmacht koopt
er 37 ter vervanging van de F-16.

Voorlopig staat hij op static. Ze zijn nu aan het kijlen of ze hem ook kunnen laten vliegen, met een F16.
(Wss is dit al geregeld maar is het nog een verrassing)
