Approach only according to te Suffolk Military Aviation Society site.K-9 wrote:GAFE .. is mostly used by Tornado's from TLG 33 (on tdy @ Norvenich).Bennie wrote:Inbound is GAFE24. Likely an Eufi from Norvenich.
The appearence of German fast jets here is a very rare event. In 15 years of service, I am not aware of even one single Luftwaffe Eufi appearing here.
Now back in the days of F-104Gs and G-91s it was a totally different story Nearly every weekday brought German visitors here. Even the Alpha Jets, Phantoms and Tonkas were reasonably common sights here, up to the early 1990s.

GAF E24 wanted to make a touch and go at Lakenheath but was denied, restricted low approach with minimum altitude of 500ft was allowed due to equipment on the runway.
After the low approach it was back to Germany via MAM-Navpi-Milgi (259.600 -> 309.200 -> 338.925 -> 309.200 -> 259.600 -> 317.725)
