Atlantic Resolve: 101st CAB to take over 3rd CAB summer 2020

In a recent press release from the US ARMY (23 April) it is announced that the 101st Airborne Division Combat Aviation Brigade from Fort Campbell (Kentucky) will be deployed for Atlantic Resolve to take over from the 3rd CAB in the summer of 2020. No further dates or info mentioned in the message.

Details of the arrival of 101st CAB in Europe has been released.

The vehicles and helicopters will arrive in July in the ports of La Rochelle in France and in Alexandroupoli in Greece.
Number of helicopters:
- 50 UH-60 and HH-60 Black Hawks
- 4 CH-47 Chinooks
- 25 AH-64 Apaches.

Military will arrive from the end of June in Neurenberg and then go to Grafenwohr for 14 days and then start to collect the material.

The vessel Endurance transporting the 101CAB hardware will arrive tonight (7-7-2020) in the port of la Rochelle.

The first helicopters have flown from La Rochelle, via Cognac to Germany yesterday.

The first flight from La Rochelle consisted of four Apaches and two Chinooks on 13 July in the late morning.
Three Black Hawks (with auxiliary fuel tanks) arrived at Cognac later in the afternoon and seemed to make a night stop. Another Black Hawk acted as a crew ferry between La Rochelle and Cognac.

As today, the 14th, is a National Holiday in France, expect movements to start full swing tomorrow on the 15th of July. The airport of Nevers will be used as a fuel stop on the way to Germany.

hello,
Today we will spent the day at Cognac for PC.21’s & Grobs (and the Army choppers that might refuel here coming from La Rochelle and heading to Nevers/Nancy). Last monday already Some helicopters passed Nevers on their way east.
At the moment 6 HH-60 and a AH-64 are Parked in the north site (probably arrived earlier in the week). According to the locals the first ones will arrive around 11.30. I will update this post later.
