The last operational An-26 was retired today. The type arrived to Hungary in 1974.
The Last Mohican - the 406 - arrived at the end of 1975.

What is going to happen with this air frame, going to the Museum and be preserved there?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Hungary - An-26 retirement
Another 3 are already some years stored at Kecskemet, including the Mig 29's which they can't find any buyer for.

Still need some clearance as far as I know one of the propeller of the 204 is now preserved at Kiliti Airport, Hungary (not my photo):

That is not how the DB works.zeeuwric wrote: other question, in the scramble database, was does first (apr96) mean, first entry in the database? cant be first flight

204 An-26 2204 Szolnok Scrapped apr96 aug05 scrapped in 2007
It shows the f/n stored at Szolnok (apr96) and the last noted as stored (aug05) before it was scrapped
Before this Szolnok stored entry the entry would have shown the unit with its f/n and l/n with the unit
For the benefit of Mr. Kite, there will be a show tonight on trampoline
