Hi all,
From april 18th till the 22nd I will be in Sicily and i will be a short drive away from Trapani/Birgi Airbase on the western side of the island.
As I ofcourse don't want to get in any trouble, what are the rules/laws and does/don'ts concerning spotting at a mil airfield in Italy?
Thanks in advance!
Randy

Keep a low profile, stay away from the fence, don’t take pictures of infrastructure and I would be very surprised if they shoot you. Some hassle can never be ruled out. Just don’t get caught!

Re: Spotting in Italy
Last October I stayed in a hotel some 6km from Trapani, excellent higher view from the swimming pool and bar:-) They flew quite a bit, but infrequent.
Closer viewing should be possible in the eastern approach, but finding a spot in the open fields will be tricky, as is finding a place to park the car. The road close to the base is busy with seemingly no place to stay.
Beach end seems mostly military grounds. They did not fly from this runway for the five or so days I was there.

Answers will be questioned.....
