scr335 and the updates

Post by reach6878 »

Hi
congrats on the newest scramble. I have just one question:
I thought the updates would be taken out of the magazine? They it's in the magazine looks very messy. The old updates section was much better readable.
So please either take them out...or bring back the old section.
regards

Some people can never be pleased... And if you had read this particular section of the Messageboard more carefully over the past few days you would have known in advance that the Military updates were back. Back by popular demand...

Hi
Has nothing to do with being pleased or not pleased.
I dont read all the messages on the board as it takes me way to much time. In my eyes (my personal opinion!) now the scramble looks worse than before!

Kind regards

Lack of time certainly didn't prevent you from finding this particular part of the Scramble Messageboard. A part that is not often visited compared to the "spotting departments"...
If you had visited http://www.scramble.nl/forum/viewforum.php?f=10" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (yes...) and then looked at the topic "Scramble 335 will be out in a couple of days" plus BOTH replies (last one only two days ago by Patrick!) you would have known before posting...
A phrase like "So please either take them out...or bring back the old section." doesn't exactly encourage people at Scramble. It was better to state that you would like to have the "re-instated updates" in a far more readable/accessible format instead of saying "delete them altogether if they stay in the same format".

Right, off my soapbox, giving it a rest for now...

Updates & News

Post by Arnold ten Pas »

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. The integration of the news & updates will stay in this format . Although, the updates are still also available as a downloadable PDF. This means:

- News & Updates in the magazine as presented in Scramble 335
- Updates only as a downloadable PDF

In this way, its possible to use the PDF to update you own records without having to write/color/scratch in your paper version of Scramble.

Hi,

I'm very pleased to see "military updates" in the printed Scramble again.

I missed it more than I would have imagined. I had wondered how its removal could have seemed desirable from the poll. Maybe it was just a question of semantics, maybe we don't think of it as something we "read", but we sure do browse in it often.

Cheers, Stefan.
