KLM 737 NG winglets.

Post by Rob »

The second KLM 737-800 that will be equiped with winglets will be PH-BXU.
This will be the first one modified by KLM.

Are they adding them on the newer planes first, so XU first and then XA last?

Will KLM do it by themself or will those 737's going somewhere to be added with winglets?

Is KLM with theBoeing 737-900 serie the second airliner with winglets?

KLM is adding the Winglets during their scheduled maintenance.
This is all done at Schiphol, at the moment, in Hangar 10.

All MD-11 aircraft will go through another cabin upgrade this winter, as well as several Boeing 747-400s.

Yep, she looks nice. Good to see KL getting ears on their 73NG's! They look sweet.

Hello there,

It depends if the aircraft is provisioned or non-provisioned.
A provisioned aircraft has reinforced wings (delivered from Boeing) and the winglets are installed in 4 days.
A non-provisioned aircraft get its reinforced wings during the modification. The period to reinforce the wings and install the winglets is 10 days.
The PH-BXU is an provisioned aircraft. The modifications are finished at the end of March 2008.

Rgds.
