Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

I can't figure this one out. A Chinook with wheels in the wet sand as it looks, but tied down and covered for a stay (overnight?). Are there mooring points on the Vliehors? Do large helos actually stay longer? How about the tide?

Puzzled...

That was the main reason of the original topic, "be selective and critical" to your own shots, by study the pics you can learn many new things

English translation below.....

Hi Jimmy,

Iwan

Hi Jimmy,

I have seen your photos on this messageboard before, and noticed that you are a very enthusiastic bloke. It is really nice to recognize things in you from the time when I had your age.

I am very sure that you are super happy with your results, especially since you have experienced all aspects around it yourself. After all RIAT is a great collection of mega cool aircraft. But a fantastic experience and great enthusiasm make people loose objectivity when it comes to their own photos. Personal memories make that people review their work just a little bit better than they are to others.

Therefore the art is to see what’s nót good about your photo instead of getting carried away in your memories again. For example, look at the dozens of people below the nose of the B-52, or the robes and fences around the F-117. Many tourists will have shot the same photo as you did, and that makes that your images don’t impress other photographers as much as you would like.

My main advice to you is to continue your hobby, and enjoy all the great aircraft that you get to see through your camera. If you set your goal to make better photos from them than other photographers do, I’m sure other people will keep enjoying your work.

Good luck,
Iwan

I know it is like this, but don't give a f*ck about that, sorry for my language. Being a photographer is a lonely existing; sow we know what youre talking about
