Very well placed, Papa Knotty (as one of the few, I guess, as I saw most of the other "usual suspects" hanging out in the 18R approach -just as I did  ). Was this inside or outside the fence?

Outside the fence!
First I was there too..., the 18R, once I heard the news about 27 we made a sharp one-eighty, then high-speed inbound B'dorp (dir. Groep Sloten A4 bridge), run for life, made the pics... holy holy... what a hobby!

We went on advice of someone to 18R from the mcdonald spot. But we where doubtfull and had a carefull listening to the scanner. And yes it became to 27. I think we drove as fast as pappankotti, and we runned after him. And became just in time on the correct spot. On the departure there was also a runway change. So we had to drive from 24 to the 18L. It feld like old spottersday did return.

I must say the timing of its (or her) arrival was excellent, that low evening sunlight illuminates the bird just beautifully. In the old brown colour scheme she would have shone like gold!

Went to see the VC-10 too. After arriving at Mickey D's place I decided to walk a little toward final. Lighting was great this evening.

After a few more smaller planes nothing came by anymore and I noticed all the other spotters left. Thinking I was too late to catch the VC-10 at 18R I went toward East, big mistake though, because while I was standing next to the DDA hangar I saw the VC-10 flare off and touch down.

Eventually I wound up at the Hoofdvaart and took some sunset shots overthere.
