Düsseldorf (EDDL/DUS) - 2009 CIV

I don't see a 2009-topic for this airport, so I will start it...
Later on I will post my log of this weekend, I've been spotting at DUS for 2 days and saw a lot more than at boring Schiphol...

I have one reg. question:
There was an LTE plane standing on one of the taxiways, it had one covered and one dismantled engine.
Anyone?

Also : EI-EDD (former LTE "VW Tiguan") - Don't know where it is at the moment. I think in Maintenance Hall... Lost already its "VW Tiguan" titels, only the cars are still on the plane.

Last weekend I spent my first spotting trip at Dusseldorf, and I saw a lot of new stuff.
I usually spot at Schiphol-Netherlands, but that gets boring when you've seen it all.
I was surprised by the spotter-friendliness of DUS; there are actually toilets at both mayor spotting locations: terminal and train station.
I stayed the night at the Lindner Airport Hotel in Du-Unterrath, and I can recommend it. It's a fine hotel.

Just a small correction for both days.
CRJ200´s who´s registrations start with D-ACRx are operated by Eurowings in Lufthansa Regional c/s on behalf of Lufthansa. They are not operated by Lufthansa CityLine!
The CRJ700´s D-ACSB and D-ACSC are also operated by Eurowings.

Ghana International G-STRZ is planned to visit Manchester for a Check in the end of February. So it will operate the flights in the next 3 weeks on sunday, then maybe will come again the BMI 752 back for 1 or 2 weeks.

Lufthansa send A300 at the moment to DUS, especially on the weekends! maybe the last chance to get it...
