NOV04: Today At The MACH Loop

Post by NFLineast »

Well, what can I say except conditions were - challenging. Many, many frequent heavy showers and almost no light. A few short patches of sunlight - but no aircraft. In all there were 6 passes. A GR4 to start the day off, then a twin-ship Hawks around twice, and a single Hawk around 3 times. All photos are above ISO2000. I very much hope that you like them :)

Wow! Great shots under such conditions.

Did you use any noise reduction or is this 'straight from the camera'?

Great shots Joe, that first Tonka is absolutely stunning! It looks you use a D3 or do you maybe use a D3X? It sure makes me wanna go to Corris again!

Shall we Hans?

Thank you very much for the nice comments. I shot these with a Nikon D3 - there's not enough light in the area to shoot with a D3X at the moment. The first Tonka is actually ISO3200..... and yes - I did use a little bit of noise reduction (but I usually find myself doing that to anything above ISO400).
