Hi all!
I'm going to Seattle in upcoming summer for hollidays. I'm wandering if there are any good spotting places around Boeing field or Paine field. So I hope there are any Seattle or at least seattle experienced spotters around here.
Because I'd love to photograph some new Boeing stuff.
So does any of you have a idea?
Also how many mm's are required.. I've only got a 18-270mm lens. So that sure are my limits..
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Jeffrey.

There are a few great spots around those two 'Boeing' Airport , i will upload the diagrams shortly.
Renton :
With 270mm easy every arrival and departure at Renton , driving along the perimiter road will yield plenty of aircraft (Boeing 737NG's)
With 270mm easy every departure and arrival at Paine Field , especially at the Future of Flight Museum parking lot :
The flight line can be seen from there as well but the noise-dirt wall will keep the majority of the aircraft (full frame) out of sight , if you just want to ID the aircraft by tail that's no problem.
Hope this helped you a little bit.

Thanks guys! For your great tips. I now have the spots where I'm going in my head.
Now I just hope the weather is going to be a little good. And that there is some nice stuff around!
ahh, well. It's still 7 months away.
Kind regards,
Jeffrey!

Re: Spotting at Seattle.
I went to Boeing Field and Paine Field last summer. Both are fabulous for spotting.
Paine Field: location already given is just perfect. No stairs needed, sun good from 1500h. No need for much mm: 70-200 is enough.
Only good with southern winds!!!
Boeing Field: Have a look here: http://www.plane-spotter.com/Airports/U ... de_BFI.pdf
I visited spot B only. Parking lot (not the "control tower" mentioned) of the museum is just great for aircraft landing in the afternoon (after 1500h.). Stairs are necessary here, as well as 300mm.
Only good with northern winds!!!
About the traffic: Boeing Field is much, much busier than Paine Field. If you're into numbers, Boeing Field may drive you mad .
For pictures and a report, please have a look at my website.
