Dear Fellow Enthusiasts,
Am working through my 2010 AMARG pictures and noted a major difference in the way the aircraft are being processed , apparently no longer the parking codes are being used and stenciled on the aircraft.
Contacted the official authorities and they haven't gotten back to me yet.
Does anybody have any additional information (confirmation) that the 'old' system is in disarray.
Some reports indicate the system is in disarray because of new management at AMARG. Any word would be very much appreciated as well as any information / reports about AMARG.
F-16C 84-1378 seen AMARG (October 2010) with no parking code just type and serial stenciled.

Re: AMARG Question (2010)
The reason for the change is unknown to me, but you are right: the old system has been abandoned. I think ICT has entered AMARG and the new level of automatisation does not necessitate a separate ID (the PCN). After all: an aircraft is able to fly its entire career with just its serial, so why wouldn't that serial suffice for the 'storage career'?

You are quite right in your assumption regarding the automation of the system. Did find it ought to find a new A-10 80-0247 with a complete out of sequence parking code AAAC0622pjotrtje wrote:The reason for the change is unknown to me, but you are right: the old system has been abandoned.
