CIT Group Inc. and Boeing today announced that CIT Aerospace placed an order for 38 Next-Generation 737 airplanes and purchase rights for seven additional 737s.
The order, with deliveries into 2017, includes 15 737-900ER (extended range) and 23 737-800 airplanes. It is the largest order placed by a leasing company for the 737-900ER, the largest and newest member of the Boeing Next-Generation 737 family. This is also the largest order placed by CIT for Boeing airplanes.
South Korea's Asiana Airlines has placed an order for six Airbus A380s, and plans to take delivery of them from 2014.
The Star Alliance carrier will operate the superjumbo jet on routes to Europe and the USA, says Airbus. It has yet to select engines for the A380s.
Actually booked last year (29 December), and including the first firm order for the A320NEO family: Virgin America (VX/VRD), has placed an order with Airbus for 30 A320s and 30 A320NEOs.
American Airlines (AA/AAL), has signed a deal with Boeing for 2 B777-300ERs, which will make the airline the first operator of the type in the US.
I'm assuming that they will be sourcing more of the type, whether buying (secondhand or new), or leasing.

180 A320's by IndiGo (though still MoU not firmed up)
15 A320's for Easyjet
12 A330-300 for GECAS
6 A380-800 for Asiana
200+ aircraft, great score for the first 3 weeks of this year
Lufthansa Cargo is said to already have ordered 5 B777F and taken options on 30 more to replace their MD-11F. Deliveries should take place from 2013 onwards. Again, still a rumor, but there have been talks about this before and recently there was the news that Boeing would announce 4 major new B777 orders in the coming weeks. AA ordering 77W was named as well and that has proven to be true. So this might be as well.....

Just took a look at the Orders & Deliveries overview released by Airbus and in there you can read that the easyJet order actually has been booked in 2010.....

According to Flightglobal the order for the 12 A321s was now firm, earlier on it was an MoU. And why did you cross the A320s for EasyJet?
