F-117 Nighthawk back in the 90's
Hi all!
Some stealthy movements back in 1993 when Coronet Havoc started and 8x F-117's from the 49th FW/415th FS from Holloman AFB visited Gilze-Rijen.
Some nice photo opportunities back in the days with a knee high fence which nowadays is unthinkable;-)
Hope you enjoy!

Einhoven Open Day 1993
That season I used my first "camera" a Olympus (unknown type), with <<click>> 35 mm, or <<clack>> 70mm. No zoom.
And a big fence, who cares
Regards
Cees

die aankomst avond was historisch 10 duizend spotters en kijkers op de langebergseweg! Piloten dachten dat het bloemen waren toen ze overvlogen totdat ze geland waren en zagen dat het mensen waren schitterend moment!

Some nice memories from the arrival day indeed. Believe it was around 20.00u that the first 4 arrived! A lot of spotters that day. I didn't take pics, but was there with a big VHS camcorder, so I have a tape somewhere. I think I will try to convert that video to DVD and then upload it to youtube...a good reason to clean up my attic in an attempt to find it !

Ah, wat a day it was! I think everyone was still a little bit in doubt until the first four came overhead.
Memories...

Yes memories.... I remember riding my bike in Amsterdam not beleiving my ears when i heard the sound of a fighter. I looked up and believed my eyes even less when I saw an F-117, going direction Schiphol!

No C-141s from me unfortunately. But I'd like to show some nice (I think) photos of the F-117s so you can see what it was like: it was great!
