Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Thanks! Yes, this is 600mm. Got mixed results. I think I should have chosen another AF setting.

And of course there was the transport too. Nice day and I think we had much luck with the weather!

Robert, Very nice images of the departing aircraft , It looks like you have the perfect copy of the 150-500, because mine(with a canon 40D) never gives such good and sharp images@500mm.

@Fisher
Thanks for the comment!
@Planecrazy,
First of all, thanks for the comment!
Most of my images I shoot at maximum 400-450mm. At 500mm the edges aren't sharp anymore. But with a lot of zoom lenses you get the same. At the end of the zoom they go blury.
Take a look at the EXIF and you'll see that only the last pictures is shot at 500mm, all the others are shot with less mm's.

Indeed, simply a very nice day. My experience was exactly like discribed by Wildpicture in the general spotting topic for this event.
Awesome stuff Robert, the departing Tiffies indeed went skyrocketing!
