Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Yup, nice video but you know the Air Force is not very happy that such vid ends up on the web.
Hope you don't spoil this fine vantage point at Eindhoven for the rest of us.

Hi,
Nice images indeed however, it has been explained on EWAS multiple times and apparently it has to be explained on each separate forum again...
The airforce is not happy seeing their infra structure shown on internet in this way. We, as airforce fans, receive a lot of support from the airforce in our hobby. To keep it like that, it would be clever to respect some of the airforces urgent desires. So please use your common sense and do not show any footage which unveils the airfield structure such as ramps, tracks, buildings etc.
The only thing you gain by not respecting this, is personal pleasure of people liking your footage and the airforce taking more distance from spotters and their hobby... I think this is not what we want to achief, right?
Thanks, Maurice.

Probably not because they don't show any information of the 334sq platform.
They are completely in accordance with the non-written rules.
It is better that you look at the videos yourself first before you give a commentary.
Grtz.

Yes, I did see the vids for myself, and even before you re-edited them. This morning the platform was still clearly visible on the end of at least 2 videos. Including a clear view on the Yellow/Red bird parked on the Mil-East ramp. Not very clever! Now you cut a few seconds from the end of the videos and hanging out the smart guy?!Did you see the videos yourself ???
Probably not because they don't show any information of the 334sq platform.
Keep these videos in your own archives. Spreading them on internet is not very smart, for the same reason Maurice already stated.

Useful discussion but in the wrong forum. As the tone is back to something decent, I'll allow it here. Please note that no forum rules were broken otherwise, and Scramble has no intent to self-censor. Having said that, let's all care for our hobby. The best way to make others do that is advice them, not attack them.

Why isn't Scramble making a clear statement by deleting images/videos taken of the military apron from P4?

Re: Full[HD]Video: Eindhoven 31-5-12: Transall + F16 + UH-1
Okay, we now have some currently-serving Dutch Air Force personnel complaining about these clips, and they are well aware of what their employer thinks of online videos and -or photos showing fixed infrastructure like these.
The message is clear: don't put such photos and/or clips online, especially not if they were made from Parking Lot P4 at Eindhoven Air Base.
EDIT: now also see http://forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php?f=73&t=85768 .

Re: Full[HD]Video: Eindhoven 31-5-12: Transall + F16 + UH-1
The main goal of this forum is to connect people with the same hobby to share experiences, logs, opinions and pictures. In order to regulate all these postings there are some basic rules. When postings do fit in the forum and are in line with the basic rules, we don't see any reason to delete images or videos.r.e.hendriks wrote:Why isn't Scramble making a clear statement by deleting images/videos taken of the military apron from P4?
Regarding this specific case, it is not up to Scramble to judge people pictures or videos and take action on it. Scramble only provides an platform to post pictures and video's. It is the responsibility of the poster if to post a certain picture or video and what to show. Scramble does not have any self sensor, which also have been seen shown in the past (for instance Ramstein pictures).
Eindhoven spotters are free to give their opinion regarding pictures taken from P4 (as long as they are in line with the basic rules) nor are forum members free to post pictures taken from P4 with infrastructure at the background.
Rob and Frank both explained in this topic and the other mentioned topic the opinion of the Koninklijke Luchtmacht and the why. It is up to the forum members how to use this information. But we as Scramble trust on the common sense of our forum members.
Regards,
Thijs
