Afghan Air Force PC-12 routing through Prestwick
On 26 March 2021, Afghan Air Force (AAF) PC-12/47E serial 1450 (construction number 1450) passed through Prestwick (UK) on its way to the USA.
The PC-12, call sign DAGGR88, arrived from Prague/Václav Havel Airport (Czechia). However, it already arrived in Europe three weeks before when on 6 March 2021, DAGGR88 landed at Bucharest/Henri Coanda (Romania). The reason why it stayed that long in Romania is unknown to us. The flight plan revealed Sierra Nevada Corp. as the operator, so it might be on a flight to the company's home location at Centennial Airport at Denver (CO) for some maintenance work.
The PC-12 was originally delivered to the Afghan Air Force in January 2017 and was operated by the 438th Air Expeditionary Wing (AEW) at Kabul International Airport. On 20 January 2017 it passed through Wick (UK) and Prague-Ruzyne (Czechia) as N450NX with call sign DAGGR18. At Prague, the Afghan serial YA1450BS was noted under the tape. It continued to Bucharest-Otopeni (Romania) on 22 January 2017.
