Armée de l'Air Burkinabé Mi-17s at LOM Praha

Noted last week at LOM Praha (Prague, Czech Republic) during a testflight after extensive overhaul were two Armée de l'Air Burkinabé (Burkina Faso Air Force) Mil Mi-17 transport helicopters.

The Mi-17s are operated by the Escadrille d'Hélicoptères at Base Aérienne 511 Ouagadougou in the centre of the country. The helicopters, serials BF9001 and BF9202, will most probably be delivered soon to Ouagadougou.

LOM Praha is one of the leading companies providing MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) & life cycle support solutions for Mil Mi-2, Mil Mi-8/17, Mil Mi-24/35 helicopters and their equipment. According to the company's information, LOM Praha is the only company providing repair services for the Mil family helicopters in the NATO and EU countries which is certified by the Russian MVZ Mil and OAO Klimov design bureaus, the Interstate Aviation Committee MAK and domestic aviation authorities.

As you can see they also provide these services for more exotic air arms, like Burkina Faso.
