C-40A versus P-8A

Nice angle on this United States Navy C-40A Clipper with BuNo 169793. The Clipper was photographed at Lajes air base (Azores) on 28 October 2020 by João Toste.

Although the unit is not visible on the C-40A, it is operated by VR-57 Conquistadors which is based at NAS North Island (CA).

The P-8A Poseidon in the background is BuNo 168848/LK-848 operated by VP-26 Tridents at NAS Jacksonville (FL).

US military aircraft use Lajes air base on a regular base for a stop over between CONUS (Continental USA), southern Europe and/or Middle East. With the great photo opportunities at Lajes, one could make these kind of photos.
