Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre has to close!
There has been a distress call from the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre (CAHC) an aviation collection based at Cornwall Airport. The sad news is that the CAHC has to close its museum from 31 October 2022 and vacate their premises by 31 March 2023.
In the seven years since this privately funded collection opened its doors it has been very successful both in attracting visitors as well as in acquiring display items. It currently comprises more than twenty airframes of all sizes and thousands of exhibits. To name just a few: BAC 111 ZH763, Vickers Varsity WJ945, VC-10 ZA148, two Tornados (ZA398 and ZH553), a Lightning and two Hunters. e CAHC
Despite the obvious success the Cornwall Council is forcing it to close down. According to the CAHC staff the Council have until now refused to even discuss relocation proposals and funding sources.
