Crash of Mexican Navy EC145

A Mexican navy EC145 has crashed during a reconnaissance flight in Tabasco state, in the village of Paraíso, over the Fonapo sports fields. The helicopter operated in the 5th naval region.

Unfortunately, three navy personnel on board were killed, and two were seriously wounded. The Mexican navy operated two EC145, the helicopter that crashed was ANX-2245 (msn 9653).

It was taken over from the Mexican air force, that operated it with serial 1054, a couple of years ago.

Footage of the crash seems to point to a loss of control in full flight, which could indicate a problem with the tail rotor.
