Crash Pakistan Air Force JF-17B
Last Friday 6 August 2021, the Pakistan Fiza'ya (PAF, Pakistan Air Force) lost JF-17B Thunder 20-614 during a training mission.
Both pilots ejected safely and the aircraft crashed near Attock, close to PAF Minhas, which is the home base of 16(MR) Squadron Black Panthers.
The Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), known as PAC Kamra, can be found on the east side of the air base. Inquiries into the cause have started, local news media suggest a bird strike.
This is the fourth JF-17 to have crashed since its service introduction in 2007. Over the years the PAF inducted 135 JF-17 Thunders.
